Cornerstone Adventist Academy is an elementary/middle school (grades 1-8) that meets in the fellowship hall of the church. It is currently a one-room school with 16 students enrolled for the 2017-2018 school year. The school and church partner together in the educational process. Students benefit from a well-rounded educational experience that includes academic study as well as social and spiritual development.
“True education…is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers. It prepares the student for the joy of service in this world and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come…. “In the highest sense the work of education and the work of redemption are one, for in education, as in redemption, “other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
–Ellen White in Education p. 13, 30.
Cornerstone Adventist Academy is a ministry of the University City Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The school is governed by a board selected by the church and operates under the supervision of the Carolina Conference Office of Education.
